Nerevar Rising

Mucky88 of Newgrounds shared this in a thread on /v/ today.  I liked it so I thought I'd share it here.

While I'm sharing Morrowind related music, I may as well raise awareness of Jeremy Soule's own revisiting to the theme, titled Nerevar Rising (reprise).  Some of you may find it hard to believe, but not everyone owns Morrowind's soundtrack (but they should).

Cheers!

  1. Good to see some activity here again. I can't count how many times I've pressed F5. Any news on the installer?

  2. Permissions take awhile to get.

I was asked by the guys doing the 'Morrowind Sound & Graphics Overhaul" to help out and I told them I would - they already have most of the permissions I need. If you don't already know, the 'overhaul' is an installer that gives you several options on how you want Morrowind to look. It is incomplete/outdated in some areas, but it's exactly the kind of thing that the community needs.

That doesn't mean I won't still be working on my own installer. Mine won't offer any choices, and I plan to distribute it in both ISO and regular installer format. Going to be doing up some DVD kits you can print out if you have the supplies for people that want to stash it with their Expansion discs etc. :3

  3. Of course I know it takes a while to get permissions, especially when you need to get them from quite a lot of people.

Good to hear however, that you already have some permissions. Maybe one could get the Morrowind Sounds & Graphics Overhaul, install it to your liking, and then installing your compilation, to override the outdated files?

    Thanks for your work!

    Best wishes,
